Go to Rotterdam by bus

For a New York style city break without the cost of a transatlantic flight, let Ouibus take you to Rotterdam. This Dutch city is known as “Manhattan on the Maas” for its impressive skyline. From the top of the Euromast, the highest tower in the Netherlands, you can drink in the magnificent panorama of the city below you, and can spot the main sights amongst the skyscrapers. You can catch a glimpse of Laurenskerk (Church of St Laurence), the oldest building in Rotterdam, and the town hall, both notable for their age-old charm. These contrast starkly with the contemporary architecture of the city’s trendy new districts. Learn all about the maritime history of Rotterdam with a visit to the Maritiem Museum, before seeing the splendours of the harbour for yourself. You could even go on a boat trip if you’re craving some sea air. When hunger strikes, tuck into some delicious local specialities at the Markthal, which houses over 100 stalls, surrounded by fascinating architecture. Don’t forget to look up and admire the luxury apartments up above! Ready for a drink? The bars in the Oude Haven district are lively and offer a warm welcome. If you’re a nature-lover, the Zuiderpark or Rotterdam Zoo (one of Europe’s nicest zoos) are ideal spots for a breath of fresh air and a relaxing walk. Rotterdam, is also the birthplace of gabber (hardcore techno). So it seems right to round off your visit with a revitalising techno gig at the Energiehal, before heading home by Ouibus!
